  • I first saw Katrina as I had polycystic ovaries and had been advised that reflexology can help improve fertility. After an in-depth consultation covering all aspects of my health, Katrina got to work on my feet. She was very gentle and I drifted into a deep state of relaxation I’d never experienced in a treatment before. Even days later I still felt very peaceful and calm. Afterwards Katrina advised how to help my condition in a holistic, natural way at home. I went on to have two little boys and have continued to see Katrina throughout the years as her treatments can help with so many issues, whether physical or emotional. Katrina lives and breathes what she does and is both naturally gifted and hugely knowledgable. I would highly recommend a visit to her at the beautiful Sanctuary.

  • “I see Katrina every 3-4 weeks for a full body massage and always leave feeling totally relaxed and re-energised. I really appreciate her knowledge of the human body and her friendly and personable approach. She makes you feel very at ease and I would recommend her to anyone, the best massage therapist in Essex in my opinion.”

About Katrina

Katrina was born in Russia in St Petersburg.
At the age of 16 Katrina was offered a minor disability certificate and advised not to plan anything ambitious for her future – a quiet vegetable life was the maximum that she would be able to achieve according to the professor of a highly respected hospital. No higher education, no full time job, no family.

This was not an option for her and her family and so they turned to alternative therapies.

20 years later, with a University Degree, on her way home to her family and children from her job in the City, Katrina realised something was missing in her life. It was time to give back for all the help and support she had received over the years from alternative therapists and self study.

Katrina is now an experienced holistic therapist often combining complementary treatments to suit an individual condition.

Natural Healing Hand Balm

Beeswax Organic non-bleached Beeswax protects the skin.

Sunflower Oil is excellent in all kinds of skincare products due to high content of up to 70% linoleic acid (Omega 6 essential fatty acid) - it has a nourishing effect on all skin types and excellent pore reduction qualities. Interestingly enough, sunflower oil has been known to initiate a positive psychological effect.

Avocado Oil is used for dry tired skin that lacks lustre. It has Vitamin D & E (more than butter or eggs) and pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5). Chlorophyll gives avocado oil its green colour. Excellent for dry and mature skin, also a natural emulsifier. Has a natural sun protection factor 2-3; offering protection against weather and wind, also helping to keep moisture in the skin by stopping transpidermal water loss. It can even be taken internally for alleviating symptoms for female menopause.

Vitamin E prevents wrinkles, stimulates the blood circulation and regulates the skin's elasticity (most commercial products don't contain enough vitamins to protect the skin).
Ultraviolet rays and the subsequently formed free radicals age the skin more quickly, reducing its elasticity and creating wrinkles.
Applying 10-35% Vitamin E keeps the skin in good condition and increases the growth of new skin cells.
Vitamin E applied to the skin will penetrate it and take care of the free radicals; it will absorb the sun's dangerous ultraviolet rays, which are responsible for the reddening of the skin, sunburn and more serious burns.
Free radicals are formed during exposure to sunlight, during the breaking down of environmental pollutants and during the oxidation of oils when exposed to heat or sunlight.

Calendula CO2 Extract (Marigold)
is well known for its healing properties and is often used on sensitive or inflamed skin.
Cacao Butter gives softness, nourishment and protection. Derived from the cacao bean, which is native to South America.
Shea Butter
Moisturising, protecting and healing. Has mild antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Good moisture-retaining qualities. It is gentle enough for baby skin prone to eczema, and cirrhosis. Suitable for preventing or treating stretch marks. It has natural sun protection factor 2-3 due to high content of cinnamic acid. Phytosterol content in shea butter stimulates the formation and growth of new cells, helping the skin to heal more quickly than normal (e.g. scar tissue).
