YOGA AT THE SANCTUARY
At The Sanctuary we have a yoga class for everyone. We cater for all levels from absolute beginner to advanced yogis. We have specific classes for fertility, pregnancy, post-natal and menopause. We welcome men and women to our classes and use our beautiful gardens for classes on warm summer days.
We adhere to Government Covid Guidelines so you can be assured that classes are kept small and safe.
YOGA CLASSES AT THE SANCTUARY
BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE YOGA CLASSES
Instructor – Michelle Spencer
A fusion of many yoga styles to improve your physical fitness, strengthen your focus and stimulate prana (life force). Regular yoga practice develops peace of mind, a strong healthy body and profound spiritual assurance.
ADVANCED YOGA CLASS
Instructor - Denny Berfield
A variation of Hatha/Vinyasa and Kundalini activation practices. These classes consist of asanas, mudras, pranyama, bandhas, mantra, chakra stimulation and meditation. Some of the exercises are not suitable for beginners but if you are looking to advance your yoga practice and achieve postures like the headstand, then this is the class for you. You will be corrected when necessary and your progression encouraged. You will leave feeling elevated, relaxed and have mental clarity, in this intermediate to advanced class.

Meditation in Kundalini Yoga contains specific, practical tools that carefully and precisely support the mind and guide the body through the use of breath, mantra, mudra, and focus. The range and variety of meditation techniques in the Kundalini Yoga tradition is truly extraordinary. Yogi Bhajan passed on hundreds of meditations tailored to specific applications. There are meditations that reduce stress, work on addictions, increase vitality, and clear chakras, to name a few.
Regular 2 hour Workshop
Instructor - Michelle Spencer
Two hours of pure relaxation to restore your central nervous system and reset yourself. Poses are held for 5 or more minutes, but are completely supported by bolsters, blankets, blocks and cushions to allow your mind to completely turn off.
QI GONG CLASSES & WORKSHOP

Qi gong is an ancient Chinese practice. It translates as Energy Work, and is a (w)holistic system of self-healing exercise which includes gentle movements, static postures, breathing techniques, visualisations, and meditation.
